This video was created by Mr. Katsushi and Prof. Yuko Nishimura to publicize the historical and contemporary contributions of the Buraku minority to Japanese culture.

Burakumin (部落民)

The burakumin (部落 民?) Are Japan's outcast group, consisting of approximately 3 million individuals who are ethnically, linguistically and racially indistinguishable from the other Japanese.

The discrimination of this social group is based mainly on occupational reasons, more specifically, on the work done by the ancestors of hundreds of years ago.
